Aggelos Kerkoportas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lambis Markos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Prodromos Verros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lambis Markos. Yianνtsi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prodromos Verros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
