Lambis Markos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odysseas Sinodinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christos Kastrinakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Erakleion BC booed when Yianνtsi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stamatis Oustabasidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yianνtsi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Theodosis Karopoulos was slow to take the kick. During this time Erakleion BC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Theodosis Karopoulos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yianνtsi's Lambis Markos did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Yianνtsi's zone, Christos Kastrinakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lambis Markos came out of the goal and Christos Kastrinakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paris Romanos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alkaios Perakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manolis Daniilidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paris Romanos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Paris Romanos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Manolis Daniilidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paris Romanos having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Yianνtsi's Manolis Daniilidis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paris Romanos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Alkaios Perakis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paris Romanos, 1-0. Alkaios Perakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paris Romanos having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Erakleion BC got a freekick which was hit by Stelios Adamatos. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Odysseas Sinodinos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Odysseas Sinodinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 56 minutes, Stamatis Oustabasidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yianνtsi and the Erakleion BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yianνtsi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Erakleion BC a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Theodosis Karopoulos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yianνtsi's Lambis Markos. 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, Odysseas Sinodinos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lambis Markos, 1-2. Christos Kastrinakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 72 minutes, Michalis Kargakos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erakleion BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michalis Kargakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erakleion BC's Paris Romanos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolis Daniilidis in the 74th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Odysseas Sinodinos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erakleion BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Odysseas Sinodinos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Erakleion BC's Lambis Markos threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Odysseas Sinodinos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Pantelis Psiloglou fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yianνtsi's protests and gave Pantelis Psiloglou a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th match minute, Yianνtsi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pantelis Psiloglou to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 90 minutes, Odysseas Sinodinos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erakleion BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Odysseas Sinodinos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lambis Markos made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Michalis Kargakos sent off a good shot on target. 98 minutes into the match, Erakleion BC's goal looked a bit too open when Alkaios Perakis came free, but Paris Romanos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Yianνtsi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Erakleion BC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
