The supporters of Gríspiani booed when Markou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefanos Bachaderoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dionysis Papadopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefanos Papantoniou in the 38th minute of the match. Miltiadis Giannopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miltiadis Giannopoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gríspiani getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Miltiadis Giannopoulos hit a great ball. Alexandros Konstantinoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltiadis Giannopoulos in the 42nd minute of play. Stefanos Papantoniou struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Dionysis Papadopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Markou. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandros Konstantinoulis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the game, Miltiadis Giannopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dionysis Papadopoulos came out of the goal and Stefanos Papantoniou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adamantios Fetfatzidis kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Veniamin Zacharis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dionysis Papadopoulos. Veniamin Zacharis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. With a little luck, Gríspiani's Dionysis Papadopoulos got control of the ball when Stefanos Papantoniou tried to sneak it across the goal line. Markou played a much better game than Gríspiani and deserved their victory. The Gríspiani players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
