Errikos Liakopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lefteris Koutroutsos, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Lefteris Koutroutsos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Errikos Liakopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Christodoulos Akrivoulis fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nea Moudania's protests and gave Christodoulos Akrivoulis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Palaiográtsanon booed when Nea Moudania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christodoulos Akrivoulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes Palaiográtsanon got a freekick which was hit by Anestis Karnoupakis. In the 12th minute Simos Tsobanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charalambos Pachopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palaiográtsanon's Charalambos Pachopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleftherios Bouzios in the 18th minute of play. Errikos Liakopoulos made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Nikitas Batatoudis sent off a good shot on target. Giannis Ikonomou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Nea Moudania's Giannis Ikonomou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charalambos Pachopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. During the 29th minute of the match Christodoulos Akrivoulis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Christodoulos Akrivoulis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 29 played minutes Nea Moudania got a freekick which was hit by Christodoulos Akrivoulis. When Giannis Ikonomou came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Nea Moudania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giannis Ikonomou couldn't finish the play. After having played for 33 minutes, Eleftherios Bouzios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nea Moudania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleftherios Bouzios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nea Moudania's Errikos Liakopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Nea Moudania from getting a goal against them. In the 41stth minute of the game Giannis Ikonomou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palaiográtsanon's Charalambos Pachopoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nikitas Batatoudis struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Errikos Liakopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palaiográtsanon. Errikos Liakopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alkaios Bekos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Nikitas Batatoudis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Errikos Liakopoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giannis Ikonomou to make the kick off. Palaiográtsanon's Charalambos Pachopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Ikonomou in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, Palaiográtsanon's Charalambos Pachopoulos got control of the ball when Vaggelis Sfiggas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Palaiográtsanon's zone, Giannis Ikonomou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charalambos Pachopoulos came out of the goal and Giannis Ikonomou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charalambos Pachopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaggelis Sfiggas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charalambos Pachopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giannis Ikonomou, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikitas Batatoudis in the 74th minute of play forced Nea Moudania's goalkeeper Errikos Liakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nikitas Batatoudis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikitas Batatoudis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Charalambos Pachopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Ikonomou in the 90th minute of play. Eleftherios Bouzios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eleftherios Bouzios blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Charalambos Pachopoulos having to make a save. Giannis Ikonomou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eleftherios Bouzios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charalambos Pachopoulos having to interfere. Nea Moudania's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
