In the 8th match minute, Pondismιnon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fotis Tzorvas to maneuver through the defense. Paris Karipidis's late challenge caught a Pondismιnon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paris Karipidis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Ao Thrakis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paris Karipidis to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Stathis Prionas sped through Pondismιnon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ntinos Prevezanos. After a defensive mix-up in Pondismιnon's zone, Stathis Prionas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ntinos Prevezanos came out of the goal and Stathis Prionas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute of the match Apostolis Morikis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ntinos Prevezanos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Stathis Prionas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ntinos Prevezanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Stathis Prionas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ntinos Prevezanos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute of the match Ntinos Vekris shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ntinos Prevezanos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sokratis Labirikos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ntinos Prevezanos having to interfere. Ntinos Prevezanos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stathis Prionas in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stathis Prionas in the 47th minute of play forced Pondismιnon's goalkeeper Ntinos Prevezanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Ao Thrakis were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sotiris Korkolis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ntinos Prevezanos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sokratis Labirikos in the 51st minute. A collision led to Pondismιnon getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Stathis Pentaras hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sokratis Labirikos got free with Ntinos Prevezanos in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sokratis Labirikos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sokratis Labirikos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Ao Thrakis's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 59th minute Stathis Prionas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ntinos Prevezanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panos Karpouzopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Stathis Prionas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ntinos Prevezanos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. If Sokratis Labirikos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stathis Prionas in the 86th minute of play forced Pondismιnon's goalkeeper Ntinos Prevezanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stathis Prionas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Ao Thrakis's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Stathis Prionas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ntinos Prevezanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pondismιnon's Nestoras Koronas got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ao Thrakis walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
