An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Leontoulis in the 2nd minute of play forced Khαrkia FC's goalkeeper Eustratios Mavrogenidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Verdhikoϊsa FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Khαrkia FC:s goal. With a little luck, Khαrkia FC's Eustratios Mavrogenidis got control of the ball when Giannis Tsirikolias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eustratios Mavrogenidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Leontoulis in the 12th minute of play. Giannis Tsirikolias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Eustratios Mavrogenidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dimitris Leontoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nektarios Papanagiotou charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nektarios Papanagiotou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Khαrkia FC booed when Verdhikoϊsa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nektarios Papanagiotou didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Khαrkia FC's Spyros Maropoulos tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ignatios Garpozis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loukianos Michelakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. If Dimitris Leontoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitris Leontoulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dimitris Leontoulis made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Leontoulis in the 54th minute of play forced Khαrkia FC's goalkeeper Eustratios Mavrogenidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aggelos Katsavos hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Khαrkia FC's zone, Giannis Tsirikolias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustratios Mavrogenidis came out of the goal and Giannis Tsirikolias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vlassis Tzanetakis kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignatios Garpozis got free with Loukianos Michelakis in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ignatios Garpozis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loukianos Michelakis having to interfere. Verdhikoϊsa FC's Loukianos Michelakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fondas Kostarakis in the 65th minute of play. If Ignatios Garpozis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustratios Mavrogenidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Tsirikolias in the 75th minute of play. Eustratios Mavrogenidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Leontoulis in the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match, Fondas Kostarakis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Loukianos Michelakis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 87 minutes into the match, Verdhikoϊsa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ignatios Garpozis came free, but Loukianos Michelakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Khαrkia FC's zone, Giannis Tsirikolias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustratios Mavrogenidis came out of the goal and Giannis Tsirikolias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
