Argyris Chatzas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vassilis Valsamakis in the 5th minute of play. Errikos Beis lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Argyris Chatzas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Pestani's Dimitris Skliros got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Viktoras Mastoras sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pestani's Argyris Chatzas didn't even have to move. Paschalis Miroforidis hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Thodoris Pantazakos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Zinon Orfaniotis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Dimitris Skliros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pestani's Argyris Chatzas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Valsamakis in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thodoris Pantazakos got free with Zinon Orfaniotis in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pestani's Thodoris Pantazakos got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lippa's Zinon Orfaniotis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoris Sartzetakis in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Lippa getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Petros Kyriazis hit a great ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Thodoris Pantazakos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pestani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thodoris Pantazakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Nikolas Kaltsidis could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Zinon Orfaniotis however easily saved by the left post. Thodoris Pantazakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Nikolas Kaltsidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zinon Orfaniotis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nikos Galitsios was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Thodoris Pantazakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zinon Orfaniotis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Pestani got a freekick which was hit by Dimitris Skliros. When Giorgos Moustakis came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Pestani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giorgos Moustakis couldn't finish the play.
