Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Thanos Barkoglou got the match started through his kick off. If Thanos Barkoglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adamantios Vernikos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thanos Barkoglou showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Thanos Barkoglou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Ximpatzides FC's Michalis Baltas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evripidis Basinas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iason Bethanis scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evripidis Basinas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ximpatzides FC's Adamantios Vernikos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Barkoglou in the 41st minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michalis Baltas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Várpova's Stelios Mavropoulos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ximpatzides FC. Adamantios Vernikos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanos Barkoglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Adamantios Vernikos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sotos Stergiou's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After 68 played minutes Ximpatzides FC got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Tsilikos. Stelios Mavropoulos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iason Bethanis got free with Evripidis Basinas in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sotos Stergiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adamantios Vernikos having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Sotos Stergiou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Várpova's supporters rose to their feet, but Sotos Stergiou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adamantios Vernikos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ximpatzides FC's Adamantios Vernikos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Barkoglou in the 90th minute of play. Michalis Baltas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Evripidis Basinas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Isidoros Soulidis fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ximpatzides FC's protests and gave Isidoros Soulidis a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Ximpatzides FC got a freekick which was hit by Isidoros Soulidis. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Várpova players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
