After 11 played minutes Elataria got a freekick which was hit by Adamantios Tsakiris. The audience was convinced that Valentinos Maistros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Babbis Kanatopoulos was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After having played for 21 minutes, Paschalis Xenopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some careless play in the Elataria defense, Valentinos Maistros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Babbis Kanatopoulos. The Elataria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Babbis Kanatopoulos should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute of the match Nektarios Salevris sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Babbis Kanatopoulos skillfully saved the ball. Iason Mavropoulos came out of the goal and Grigoris Pantelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
