Anestis Tsitsiridis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anestis Tsitsiridis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakis Passaris in the 15th minute of play. Nikitas Amanatidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Vassilis Kyriakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Apostolikas Variamidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentinos Rapanakis having to interfere. Valentinos Rapanakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vassilis Kyriakis in the 23rd minute of the match. Apostolikas Variamidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ekklisνes were furious when Nektarios Bantas was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ekklisνes! The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Ekklisνes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ierápetra FC:s goal. The referee gave Ierápetra FC a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aris Aggelopoulos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ekklisνes's Anestis Tsitsiridis. 2-0. 46 minutes into the match, Ekklisνes's goalkeeper Anestis Tsitsiridis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikitas Amanatidis.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apostolikas Variamidis was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Sakis Passaris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ierápetra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sakis Passaris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anestis Tsitsiridis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ekklisνes's Anestis Tsitsiridis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sakis Passaris in the 55th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Ierápetra FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Apostolikas Variamidis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 63rd minute, Ierápetra FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stathis Brilakis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sakis Passaris in the 68th minute of play forced Ekklisνes's goalkeeper Anestis Tsitsiridis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nontas Boutaris charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nontas Boutaris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Ierápetra FC's zone, Apostolikas Variamidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentinos Rapanakis came out of the goal and Apostolikas Variamidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apostolikas Variamidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Christos Kapetanopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ekklisνes's supporters rose to their feet, but Christos Kapetanopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentinos Rapanakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ierápetra FC booed when Ekklisνes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christos Kapetanopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ekklisνes's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ierápetra FC had won, even though Ekklisνes had held more of the ball.
