Polidhιndhri BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaios Mavros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miltos Maladenis charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miltos Maladenis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 minutes, Thodoris Tsatsaronis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sinoikismos Moris Ambeli and the Polidhιndhri BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Polidhιndhri BC booed when Sinoikismos Moris Ambeli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. The crowd rose to their feet as Vaios Mavros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Stathis Kousas. That made the score 3-1 in the 48 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vaios Mavros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giannis Ntokas struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Tasos Mountakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sinoikismos Moris Ambeli. If Nikos Kozirakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tasos Mountakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kozirakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orestis Makris's late challenge caught a Sinoikismos Moris Ambeli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orestis Makris helped the player get up and apologised. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
