Messolóngi's Menelaos Tsoumadas got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glykomiliá's Pavlos Stellatos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Glykomiliá from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Menelaos Tsoumadas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pavlos Stellatos was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Menelaos Tsoumadas was the one to do the kick off. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 97 minutes into the match, Menelaos Tsoumadas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pavlos Stellatos . Glykomiliá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Menelaos Tsoumadas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
