The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Babbis Christodoulopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Karvounaνika FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babbis Christodoulopoulos couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paschalis Marinopoulos in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alkaios Zacharenios prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grigoris Gonias came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Angνstri's Stelios Spetsieris. But to his dismay, Stelios Spetsieris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Angνstri defense, Babbis Christodoulopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alkaios Zacharenios. The Angνstri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alkaios Zacharenios should have stopped the shot. After having played for 17 minutes, Valentinos Karapostolou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angνstri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentinos Karapostolou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alkaios Zacharenios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paschalis Marinopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Babbis Christodoulopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angνstri's Valentinos Karapostolou got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Konstantinos Skatzivas charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstantinos Skatzivas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Karvounaνika FC's Konstantinos Skatzivas got a free kick in the 34th minute. After taking down the ball on Angνstri's corner Nikos Bolias fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Grigoris Gonias quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paschalis Marinopoulos in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alkaios Zacharenios prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 44 minutes into the match, Karvounaνika FC's goal looked a bit too open when Trifon Pergaminos came free, but Grigoris Gonias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paschalis Marinopoulos was the one to do the kick off. Valentinos Karapostolou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Karvounaνika FC got a freekick which was hit by Konstantinos Skatzivas. Babbis Christodoulopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alkaios Zacharenios having to interfere. Angνstri's Alkaios Zacharenios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paschalis Marinopoulos in the 80th minute of play. Paschalis Marinopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Alkaios Zacharenios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alkaios Zacharenios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babbis Christodoulopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grigoris Gonias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelios Spetsieris, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Valentinos Karapostolou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Grigoris Gonias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Babbis Christodoulopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alkaios Zacharenios prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
