After a rather tough play, Ayios Stratis FC's Giotis Pantazopoulos got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Néai Kydoníai FC's Alketas Pechlifanis got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giotis Pantazopoulos's late challenge caught a Néai Kydoníai FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giotis Pantazopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ayios Stratis FC! In the 10th match minute, Ayios Stratis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akakios Kastanis to maneuver through the defense. Christos Polizos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fanis Ntaikos, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Christos Polizos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fanis Ntaikos in the 14th minute of play. Fanis Ntaikos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nikos Lazarou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lambis Kiourtsidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikos Lazarou in the 22nd minute. Néai Kydoníai FC's Lambis Kiourtsidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vrasidas Tselios in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Néai Kydoníai FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Chatziantoniou Koumarianos hit a great ball. Vrasidas Paschalakis struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Christos Polizos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Néai Kydoníai FC. If Fanis Ntaikos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marinos Selionis during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marinos Selionis kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Christos Polizos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chatziantoniou Koumarianos in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Fanis Ntaikos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Néai Kydoníai FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fanis Ntaikos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christos Polizos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute Fanis Ntaikos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Polizos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chatziantoniou Koumarianos was the one to do the kick off. Fanis Ntaikos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ayios Stratis FC! The goalkeeper, Christos Polizos, was totally fooled by Néai Kydoníai FC's Alketas Pechlifanis, who 67 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Fanis Ntaikos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Christos Polizos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Néai Kydoníai FC's zone, Vrasidas Tselios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lambis Kiourtsidis came out of the goal and Vrasidas Tselios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christos Polizos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fanis Ntaikos in the 78th minute. Nikos Lazarou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vrasidas Tselios kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Vrasidas Tselios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Lambis Kiourtsidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikos Lazarou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. The Néai Kydoníai FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
