Vaggelis Lepouras who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Loukas Katsourinis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paschalis Spyridakis in the 17th minute of play forced Sayιοka's goalkeeper Olimpiu Videanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panagiotis Pindonis got free with Loukas Katsourinis in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st match minute, Palio Kavalas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavlos Kalliatakis to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute of the match Ahmet Nedim Aksoy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Loukas Katsourinis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eutichios Sfakianakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loukas Katsourinis having to interfere. In the 39thth minute of the game Eutichios Sfakianakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palio Kavalas FC's Loukas Katsourinis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nikos Sarafidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Loukas Katsourinis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Sayιοka's Vaggelis Lepouras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Loukas Katsourinis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When Iason Nikolopoulos fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palio Kavalas FC's protests and gave Iason Nikolopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loukas Katsourinis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 85 minutes of play, Sayιοka's Eutichios Sfakianakis made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Loukas Katsourinis was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Palio Kavalas FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Panos Kakotaridis hit a great ball. Eutichios Sfakianakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loukas Katsourinis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Palio Kavalas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eutichios Sfakianakis came free, but Loukas Katsourinis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olimpiu Videanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panos Kakotaridis, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The supporters of Palio Kavalas FC booed when Sayιοka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Velicu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fotis Theriaklis got free with Olimpiu Videanu in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sayιοka had played much better football throughout.
