With an extended leg and a bit of luck Menelaos Papaloukas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Loukianos Skinas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miltos Stroggilos having to interfere. ROMANOS's Miltos Stroggilos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save ROMANOS from getting a goal against them. The Real Madrid players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ROMANOS were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Iason Charatos made the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Sakis Karageorgiou dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Menelaos Papaloukas, 0-5. The audience was convinced that Iason Charatos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Menelaos Papaloukas was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
