When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Chatziantoniou Xanthos put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Christos Karasimos. 20 minutes into the game, Stefanos Labrousis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vafiokhorion BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave meteora 1929 the free kick. After 23 minutes, Chatziantoniou Xanthos made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Vafiokhorion BC's Christos Karasimos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Periklis Skebis came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Vafiokhorion BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Periklis Skebis couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Chatziantoniou Xanthos sped through Vafiokhorion BC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christos Karasimos. The audience was convinced that Chatziantoniou Xanthos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christos Karasimos was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. When meteora 1929's Dimitris Fragou in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stathis Kolas to make the kick off. Christos Karasimos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ntinos Anatolakis. 62 minutes into the match, meteora 1929's goal looked a bit too open when Periklis Skebis came free, but Nikos Sarkanis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Vafiokhorion BC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Thanasis Kostetsos hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, Chatziantoniou Xanthos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Christos Karasimos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the last second Christos Karasimos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dimitris Fragou in the 68thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 69 minutes into the game, Dimitris Fragou recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christos Karasimos. Dimitris Fragou showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. The crowd rose to their feet as Dimitris Fragou kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christos Karasimos. That made the score 0-11 in the 80 minute of play. A hard shot 83 in the game by Chatziantoniou Xanthos from a close distance when the talented Christos Karasimos managed to make a qualified save. Vafiokhorion BC's players were relieved. 0-12 became the score in the 84th minute when Chatziantoniou Xanthos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 95th minute of the match, Chatziantoniou Xanthos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Christos Karasimos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Christos Karasimos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Fragou's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded meteora 1929 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vafiokhorion BC.
