Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ilmari Kukkonen started the match with the kick off. Olli-Pekka Järvinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilmari Kukkonen in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esa Riippa in the 8th minute of play forced FF Jaro's goalkeeper Olli-Pekka Järvinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th match minute, Tolja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esa Riippa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FF Jaro's zone, Reino Kinnaslampi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olli-Pekka Järvinen came out of the goal and Reino Kinnaslampi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Reino Kinnaslampi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Olli-Pekka Järvinen. Tolja's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Herkko Lotvonen 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Olli-Pekka Järvinen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reino Kinnaslampi's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reino Kinnaslampi in the 29th minute of play forced FF Jaro's goalkeeper Olli-Pekka Järvinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olli-Pekka Järvinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilmari Kukkonen, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Reino Kinnaslampi came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Tolja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reino Kinnaslampi couldn't finish the play. Herkko Lotvonen charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herkko Lotvonen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Herkko Lotvonen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Ilmari Kukkonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olli-Pekka Järvinen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reino Kinnaslampi in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After having played for 54 minutes, Ilmari Kukkonen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tolja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ilmari Kukkonen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the FF Jaro defense, Reino Kinnaslampi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olli-Pekka Järvinen. The FF Jaro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olli-Pekka Järvinen should have stopped the shot. Ilmari Kukkonen struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Olli-Pekka Järvinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tolja. Reino Kinnaslampi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Herkko Lotvonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esa Riippa scored 1-4 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olli-Pekka Järvinen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th match minute, Tolja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sami Ollonen to maneuver through the defense. Tolja's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
