The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In a very dangerous position, a player in Linnamaa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Jarkko Halonen scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kyösti Kouhi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilkka Niemelä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Auno Pentsinen hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Aarno Somervuori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyösti Kouhi having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Osmo Kosonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ilkka Niemelä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Laurila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Santtu Lotvonen made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ilkka Niemelä to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Ollilanperä's goal looked a bit too open when Ilkka Niemelä came free, but Santtu Lotvonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilkka Niemelä in the 56th minute of play forced Ollilanperä's goalkeeper Santtu Lotvonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Jarkko Halonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremias Laurila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Santtu Lotvonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Jeremias Laurila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linnamaa's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Laurila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santtu Lotvonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Linnamaa's goalkeeper Kyösti Kouhi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th match minute, Ollilanperä was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarkko Halonen to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Laurila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Ilkka Niemelä had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santtu Lotvonen. Ollilanperä's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ilkka Niemelä was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Linnamaa were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ollilanperä for a fine match.
