An unexpectedly hard shot by Elmeri Pettinen in the 8th minute of play forced Kasklahti's goalkeeper Joonatan Välivaara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anttoni Ruisniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joonatan Välivaara having to interfere. Saku Vanhatalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Viantie IFK's goalkeeper Pauli Tukio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oskari Lotvonen. Saku Vanhatalo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pauli Tukio having to make a save. Saku Vanhatalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pauli Tukio having to interfere. Oskari Lotvonen scored 1-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pauli Tukio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Oskari Lotvonen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pauli Tukio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Viantie IFK! Pauli Tukio made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Oskari Lotvonen sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anttoni Ruisniemi to strike the kick off in the second half. Anttoni Ruisniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joonatan Välivaara having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Petri Ryynänen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kasklahti's supporters rose to their feet, but Petri Ryynänen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pauli Tukio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the match, Oskari Lotvonen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pauli Tukio. Viantie IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oskari Lotvonen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Joonatan Välivaara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anttoni Ruisniemi in the 61st minute of the match. If Oskari Lotvonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anttoni Ruisniemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Kasklahti's goal looked a bit too open when Anttoni Ruisniemi came free, but Joonatan Välivaara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute Anttoni Ruisniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joonatan Välivaara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pauli Tukio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saku Vanhatalo in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kasklahti's Torsti Lähteenmäki got a free kick in the 80th minute. With his leg Joonatan Välivaara managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Viantie IFK's Elmeri Pettinen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elmeri Pettinen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Joonatan Välivaara made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Viantie IFK's Valtteri Anttila got a free kick in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Kasklahti's Saku Vanhatalo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pauli Tukio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Saku Vanhatalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pauli Tukio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Viantie IFK's Pauli Tukio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskari Lotvonen in the 93rd minute of play. Viantie IFK's Eemeli Blom shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joonatan Välivaara but with some difficulty. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kasklahti had played much better football throughout.
