A collision led to PSY getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Tommi Määttänen hit a great ball. Aarne Villanen scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tahvo Pikkarainen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Untamo Turunen in the 19th minute of play forced PSY's goalkeeper Tahvo Pikkarainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in PSY's zone, Aarne Villanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tahvo Pikkarainen came out of the goal and Aarne Villanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aarne Villanen in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tahvo Pikkarainen saved PSY from getting behind. Untamo Turunen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tahvo Pikkarainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Untamo Turunen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Untamo Turunen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ribale's supporters rose to their feet, but Untamo Turunen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tahvo Pikkarainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uuno Harinen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juha-Pekka Multaharju came out and tried to block the shot, but Uuno Harinen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 34th minute. Juha-Pekka Multaharju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uuno Harinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aarne Villanen in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tahvo Pikkarainen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute Uuno Harinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juha-Pekka Multaharju saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, FC Ribale's goal looked a bit too open when Aapeli Kuhta came free, but Juha-Pekka Multaharju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kalle Martikainen got free with Juha-Pekka Multaharju in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvi Lahtela's late challenge caught a PSY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvi Lahtela helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Ribale's Alvi Lahtela got a free kick in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Uuno Harinen made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Uuno Harinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juha-Pekka Multaharju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uuno Harinen in the 56th minute of play. FC Ribale made a substitution. Esko Vehanen replaced Jami Santahuhta. After 61 minutes of play, PSY's Kalle Martikainen made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juha-Pekka Multaharju was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Osmo Lydman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, PSY's goalkeeper Tahvo Pikkarainen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aarne Villanen. Tahvo Pikkarainen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aarne Villanen's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Juhana Kurttila kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. A collision led to PSY getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Uuno Harinen hit a great ball. In the 84th minute of the match Untamo Turunen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tahvo Pikkarainen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Untamo Turunen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Untamo Turunen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ribale were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
