Ahmet Kadri Ergintuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Aykut Ayberk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elmer Malmivaara was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Veli Koivuniemi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petri Palenius in the 8th minute of the match. Veli Koivuniemi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miska Miettinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joakim Sinisalo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Huovila IFK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Inkeranta !:s goal. Elmer Malmivaara went to the wrong direction when Paavo Laitila was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Elmer Malmivaara made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Aykut Ayberk sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute Miska Miettinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veli Koivuniemi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Huovila IFK booed when Inkeranta ! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Kosonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Aappo Lumio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Veli Koivuniemi skillfully saved the ball. In the 28th minute, Taito Setälä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Inkeranta !'s goal looked a bit too open when Petri Palenius came free, but Veli Koivuniemi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Elmer Malmivaara managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Inkeranta !'s Aykut Ayberk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aykut Ayberk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elmer Malmivaara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Inkeranta !'s Veli Koivuniemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmer Huikari in the 35th minute of play. Miska Miettinen's late challenge caught a Inkeranta !'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miska Miettinen helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Huovila IFK's Elmer Malmivaara got control of the ball when Aykut Ayberk tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 48th minute Miska Miettinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veli Koivuniemi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Aykut Ayberk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huovila IFK's Elmer Malmivaara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Joakim Sinisalo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huovila IFK's protests and gave Joakim Sinisalo a yellow card for diving instead. Joakim Sinisalo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Elmer Malmivaara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Kadri Ergintuğ, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 66th match minute, Huovila IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Sinisalo to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Reima Törmänen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Aykut Ayberk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmer Malmivaara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fan Ling Zheng kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Aykut Ayberk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aykut Ayberk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Elmer Malmivaara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Miska Miettinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veli Koivuniemi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Eero Savijoki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aykut Ayberk in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elmer Malmivaara saved Huovila IFK from getting behind. Inkeranta !'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
