Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Kuurtola's Teemu Henriksson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Lehtovaara IFK's Konsta Kurri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antti Lydman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aulis Peltola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teemu Henriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Aulis Peltola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teemu Henriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lehtovaara IFK's Konsta Kurri in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kuurtola's goalie prevented a goal. Ari Räsänen kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Kuurtola got a freekick which was hit by Eino Uitto. In the 29th minute Ensio Jatkola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antti Lydman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kuurtola's Juha Myllyniemi got a free kick in the 30th minute. Aulis Peltola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teemu Henriksson in the 34th minute of the match. If Usko Raisanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lehtovaara IFK getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Arsi Siivonen hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Usko Raisanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Teemu Henriksson came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kuurtola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teemu Henriksson couldn't finish the play. Juha Myllyniemi kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Teemu Henriksson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aulis Peltola came out and tried to block the shot, but Teemu Henriksson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Ensio Jatkola made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Kuurtola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juha Myllyniemi to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Juha-Pekka Vuorinen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kuurtola's Antti Lydman didn't even have to move. During the 57th minute of the match Juha Myllyniemi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Juha Myllyniemi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Teemu Henriksson might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aulis Peltola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teemu Henriksson ran back to his position shaking his head. Antti Lydman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Konsta Kurri went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Lehtovaara IFK booed when Kuurtola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eino Uitto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Usko Raisanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teemu Henriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teemu Henriksson in the 79th minute of play forced Lehtovaara IFK's goalkeeper Aulis Peltola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Teemu Henriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aulis Peltola was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 86th minute Usko Raisanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aulis Peltola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Usko Raisanen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kuurtola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 94thth minute of the game Ari Räsänen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lehtovaara IFK's Aulis Peltola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Usko Raisanen notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Lehtovaara IFK's Aulis Peltola. Aulis Peltola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Kuurtola players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
