Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuutti Siponen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keimo Kananen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 71 minutes, Nuutti Siponen made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Kylmälä's Keimo Kananen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th match minute, Kylmälä was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Lätti to maneuver through the defense. Sakari Vesanens short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Keimo Kananen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 91 played minutes Kylmälä got a freekick which was hit by Saul Repo. Academy were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Kylmälä's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Olli-Pekka Myllylä took the corner. When the match was over Academy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kylmälä throughout the match.
