Julius Vool's late challenge caught a Vaskjala FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julius Vool helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Julius Vool hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Endel Paat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haarald Sadam. FC Eestimaa Vägilased's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tõnn Korjus in the 9th minute of play forced FC Eestimaa Vägilased's goalkeeper Haarald Sadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haarald Sadam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Ülisoo in the 14th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, Vaskjala FC's Raul Ülisoo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haarald Sadam was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute, Aivo Sade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aivar Latikas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vaskjala FC's goalkeeper Kalju Jürgenson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Haarald Sadam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Ülisoo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Vaskjala FC's goal looked a bit too open when Heldur Alango came free, but Kalju Jürgenson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Eestimaa Vägilased's zone, Raul Ülisoo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haarald Sadam came out of the goal and Raul Ülisoo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Vaskjala FC's Raul Ülisoo got a free kick in the 34th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Heldur Alango managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Eestimaa Vägilased's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heldur Alango was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, FC Eestimaa Vägilased's goal looked a bit too open when Peeter Aruniit came free, but Haarald Sadam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aivo Sade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The long shot by Aivar Latikas in the 43rd minute really tested Kalju Jürgenson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Heldur Alango to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Heldur Alango hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vaskjala FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gerd Lööper hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet İlhan Omural in the 61st minute of play forced Vaskjala FC's goalkeeper Kalju Jürgenson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heldur Alango received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Kalju Jürgenson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Heldur Alango in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Tom Asmer hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Kalju Jürgenson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heldur Alango in the 79th minute of play. Kalju Jürgenson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heldur Alango in the 86th minute of the match. Aivo Sade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Kalju Jürgenson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
