Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arto Haab made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Maarakula's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Vaik came free, but Meelis Valmas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Maarakula's Arto Haab nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hando Hermaste made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Juhan Nigol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Meelis Valmas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Vaik in the 18th minute of play forced Maarakula's goalkeeper Meelis Valmas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Emil Vaik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Meelis Valmas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience was convinced that Arto Haab's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hando Hermaste was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. If Arto Haab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Meelis Valmas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Vaik in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Maarakula's goal looked a bit too open when Juhan Nigol came free, but Meelis Valmas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Juhan Nigol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emil Vaik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arto Haab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juhan Nigol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juhan Nigol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meelis Valmas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Maarakula's Taavi Virumaa got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juhan Nigol in the 59th minute of play forced Maarakula's goalkeeper Meelis Valmas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Vaik might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meelis Valmas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emil Vaik ran back to his position shaking his head. Hando Hermaste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eino Aasma, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Eino Aasma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juhan Nigol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meelis Valmas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Maarakula's zone, Juhan Nigol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meelis Valmas came out of the goal and Juhan Nigol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juhan Nigol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Meelis Valmas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Maarakula getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Leo Noorsaar hit a great ball. If Emil Vaik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Emil Vaik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute Juhan Nigol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meelis Valmas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Juhan Nigol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Meelis Valmas was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Maarakula succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though WC Rotimürk. had controlled the match.
