After a defensive mix-up in FC Karulope's zone, Kaur Saia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heldur Laane came out of the goal and Kaur Saia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Bananaslips getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Valdek Traks hit a great ball. In the 27th minute of the match Egert Tael sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Idavain skillfully saved the ball. In the 28th minute, Janar Mihklimäe fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Edgar Idavain didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evald Raitviir went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Evald Raitviir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Janar Mihklimäe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kaur Saia might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heldur Laane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kaur Saia ran back to his position shaking his head. The FC Karulope fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when FC Karulope's Evald Raitviir looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edgar Idavain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janar Mihklimäe, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evald Raitviir in the 62nd minute of play forced Bananaslips's goalkeeper Edgar Idavain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Kaur Saia could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Heldur Laane however easily saved by the left post. Evald Raitviir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Edgar Idavain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
