In the 6th minute of the match Erki Remmelgas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kaupo Tilk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Gerd Salmistu fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muratsi's protests and gave Gerd Salmistu a yellow card for diving instead. Gerd Salmistu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Veiko Järve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avere's supporters rose to their feet, but Veiko Järve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaupo Tilk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Norman Kais who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Vahur Toompere when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 32nd minute Veiko Järve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaupo Tilk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oskar Einasto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vahur Toompere having to make a save. Veikko Härm hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Veiko Järve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaupo Tilk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vahur Toompere came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Muratsi's Norman Kais. But to his dismay, Norman Kais quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Norman Kais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vahur Toompere having to interfere. If Oskar Einasto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
