In the 15th match minute, Woldi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Lill to maneuver through the defense. With 17 minutes on the clock, Hardi Viigipuu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Woldi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of JK Mante:s goal. When Fred Põhjala came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Woldi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Põhjala couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute Helari Lüdimois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hasso Tarand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Põhjala blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heikko Antsov having to make a save. Arnold Link charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnold Link the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Woldi booed when JK Mante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ülo Normak didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Woldi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. JK Mante were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fred Põhjala was the one to do the kick off. Fred Põhjala might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heikko Antsov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Põhjala ran back to his position shaking his head. When Elmar Laaneoks fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JK Mante's protests and gave Elmar Laaneoks a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Elmar Laaneoks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Helari Lüdimois received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Hasso Tarand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
