With a little luck, Saari JK's Jan Pankiewicz got control of the ball when Kristjan Mäetaguse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beto Marcicos short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Jan Pankiewicz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kristjan Mäetaguse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jan Pankiewicz made a huge save. After 29 played minutes Saari JK got a freekick which was hit by Kristjan Jaani. Kristjan Mäetaguse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Pankiewicz having to make a save. A hard shot 39 in the game by Kristjan Mäetaguse from a close distance when the talented Jan Pankiewicz managed to make a qualified save. Saari JK's players were relieved. Juhan Nurm hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Viljar Kabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ain Karelson, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Auckland Koalas's goalkeeper Viljar Kabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristjan Jaani. 54 minutes into the match, Saari JK's goal looked a bit too open when Kristjan Mäetaguse came free, but Jan Pankiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute Kristjan Mäetaguse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Pankiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristjan Jaani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Viljar Kabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, Auckland Koalas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juhan Nurm to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Auckland Koalas getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Nicolae Vişan hit a great ball. Lembit Ude sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristjan Jaani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Viljar Kabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Renan do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saari JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viljar Kabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute Arne Ümarik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Pankiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Rasmus Alas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Pankiewicz. Saari JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rasmus Alas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Viljar Kabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lembit Ude, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristjan Mäetaguse in the 77th minute of play forced Saari JK's goalkeeper Jan Pankiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ain Karelson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ain Karelson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viljar Kabral having to interfere. Ain Karelson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saari JK were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Auckland Koalas to leave the ground with a draw.
