After 10 played minutes Ákitsi BC got a freekick which was hit by Dimitris Saatsakis. In the 11th minute of the match Aias Ioannidis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Areion Papastavrou skillfully saved the ball. After 14 minutes, Areion Anetakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ákitsi BC and the Ionikón FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ákitsi BC's Areion Anetakis got a free kick in the 14th minute. Alkeides Angavanakis scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Areion Papastavrou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nestoras Roussos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tolis Haritopoulos in the 20th minute of play. Areion Papastavrou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alkeides Angavanakis in the 22nd minute of play. Panos Terovolas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th play minute Panos Terovolas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Areion Papastavrou. 2-0. Alkeides Angavanakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Areion Papastavrou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panos Terovolas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ákitsi BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Panos Terovolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alkeides Angavanakis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ionikón FC's Alkeides Angavanakis in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ákitsi BC's goalie prevented a goal. 55 minutes into the game, Alkeides Angavanakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Areion Papastavrou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Ionikón FC booed when Ákitsi BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestoras Gianakopulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 minutes Ákitsi BC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aias Ioannidis who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Aias Ioannidis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ákitsi BC's Areion Papastavrou did a great save. Panos Terovolas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Areion Papastavrou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Akis Tourna came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ionikón FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Akis Tourna couldn't finish the play. In the 69th match minute, Ákitsi BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Makareus Calogerakis to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ákitsi BC's zone, Christos Ioannidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Areion Papastavrou came out of the goal and Christos Ioannidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panos Terovolas scored 5-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Areion Papastavrou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Areion Papastavrou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alkeides Angavanakis went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Dinekis Doukatelis in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nestoras Roussos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Akheron Papanicolaou took a quick shot and it went in 6-1 without a chance for Nestoras Roussos to make any attempt to save it. The referee gave Ákitsi BC a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nestoras Gianakopulos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ionikón FC's Nestoras Roussos. 6-2. Alkeides Angavanakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Areion Papastavrou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Ionikón FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
