Vathiakó BC's Kaineus Bentihavas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkeides Angavanakis in the 8th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Alkeides Angavanakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ionikón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alkeides Angavanakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaineus Bentihavas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 19 in the game by Panos Terovolas from a close distance when the talented Kaineus Bentihavas managed to make a qualified save. Vathiakó BC's players were relieved. The supporters of Ionikón FC booed when Vathiakó BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manos Mamalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Vathiakó BC's Manos Mamalis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nestoras Roussos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Akis Tourna hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Fotis Koumaditis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Nestoras Roussos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Vathiakó BC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Vathiakó BC's Fotis Koumaditis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 41st minute, Alkeides Angavanakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alkeides Angavanakis in the 43rd minute of play forced Vathiakó BC's goalkeeper Kaineus Bentihavas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Nestoras Roussos came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Vathiakó BC's Manos Mamalis. But to his dismay, Manos Mamalis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Augeias Panaretos kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Manos Mamalis hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Panos Terovolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Fotis Koumaditis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vathiakó BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fotis Koumaditis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestoras Roussos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kaineus Bentihavas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Terovolas in the 84th minute of the match. Panos Terovolas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestoras Roussos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fotis Koumaditis in the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of Vathiakó BC booed when Ionikón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iolkos Katsambis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 99th minute, Vathiakó BC's Fotis Koumaditis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nestoras Roussos. Nestoras Roussos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vathiakó BC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
