NovoPolotsk's Platon Lagun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save NovoPolotsk from getting a goal against them. If Vadim Ivashenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Vladimir Nasanovich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NovoPolotsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Freedom the free kick. If Arseny Suzanovich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in NovoPolotsk's zone, Svetapolk Arhipov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Platon Lagun came out of the goal and Svetapolk Arhipov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrey Radkevich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arseny Suzanovich, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, one of NovoPolotsk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for NovoPolotsk. After 83 minutes of play, Freedom's Stepan Ratov made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Platon Lagun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stanislav Rabushko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Andrey Radkevich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arseny Suzanovich in the 95th minute of play forced Freedom's goalkeeper Andrey Radkevich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of NovoPolotsk's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. NovoPolotsk may have spent more time on the ball, but Freedom were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
