After a rather tough play, FC Jankovo's Alexander Belokonski got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Yanek Belkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 minutes, Kaloyan Tuchev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varchovtsi and the FC Jankovo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Borimir Hrischev went to the wrong direction when Alexander Belokonski was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Rafail Bahchevanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Borimir Hrischev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Varchovtsi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Jankovo:s goal. The referee gave FC Jankovo a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alexander Belokonski, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Varchovtsi's Borimir Hrischev. 1-2. After the first half FC Jankovo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Borimir Hrischev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Varchovtsi's Borimir Hrischev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slavcho Bozhanski in the 86th minute of play. If Rafail Bahchevanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Varchovtsi's Pantaley Gúnev got a free kick in the 91st minute. Varchovtsi's Borimir Hrischev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Varchovtsi from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute Slavcho Bozhanski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borimir Hrischev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pantaley Gúnev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivelin Zorov was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
