Zhelyazko Doshkov was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Opitsvet's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 10th minute Avgust Velkushanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalbert Dzhelepski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tinko Nelchinov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhelyazko Doshkov in the 12th minute of play forced FC Vurdolovtsi's goalkeeper Filcho Kararizov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalbert Dzhelepski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vidyo Adúrski, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Zhelyazko Doshkov came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Opitsvet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhelyazko Doshkov couldn't finish the play. Evstati Gazdov kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Zhelyazko Doshkov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Vurdolovtsi's Filcho Kararizov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save FC Vurdolovtsi from getting a goal against them. Adalbert Dzhelepski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avgust Velkushanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vidyo Adúrski's late challenge caught a Opitsvet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vidyo Adúrski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Vidyo Adúrski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zhelyazko Doshkov to strike the kick off in the second half. Zhelyazko Doshkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filcho Kararizov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Avgust Velkushanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Adalbert Dzhelepski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Zhelyazko Doshkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Vurdolovtsi's Filcho Kararizov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Opitsvet booed when FC Vurdolovtsi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Branimir Komsiyski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Avgust Velkushanov managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Vurdolovtsi's supporters rose to their feet, but Avgust Velkushanov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adalbert Dzhelepski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute of the match FC Vurdolovtsi got a corner. Opitsvet's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arhangel Marinchev ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Arhangel Marinchev almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Opitsvet's Adalbert Dzhelepski did a great save. In the 90th minute, Zhelyazko Doshkov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Opitsvet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 95 minutes into the match, FC Vurdolovtsi's Avgust Velkushanov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adalbert Dzhelepski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Vurdolovtsi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
