A collision led to ФК Белая звезда getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Nedelcho Sofroniev hit a great ball. Янтра Габрово's Vladko Predyov managed to work through ФК Белая звезда's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Vladko Predyov dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After some careless play in the ФК Белая звезда defense, Boyko Marinov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tzeno Balinov. The ФК Белая звезда fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tzeno Balinov should have stopped the shot. The supporters of ФК Белая звезда booed when Янтра Габрово was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantin Gamanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blagovest Dishkov made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Spas Bandev sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, ФК Белая звезда's Encho Gyoshev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blagovest Dishkov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute Encho Gyoshev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blagovest Dishkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Янтра Габрово's Boyko Marinov in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ФК Белая звезда's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Encho Gyoshev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Boyko Marinov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boyko Marinov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sevdalin Bogev hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Tzeno Balinov made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Vladko Predyov sent off a good shot on target. Tzeno Balinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boyko Marinov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Янтра Габрово getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Galabin Kobarelov hit a great ball. Vladko Predyov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boyko Marinov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Tzeno Balinov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Chudomir Karameshev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Янтра Габрово and the ФК Белая звезда players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Янтра Габрово! After a rather tough play, ФК Белая звезда's Trifon Filipov got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Boyko Marinov came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Янтра Габрово fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyko Marinov couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Boyko Marinov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tzeno Balinov was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Encho Gyoshev managed to get in a good position for a shot. ФК Белая звезда's supporters rose to their feet, but Encho Gyoshev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blagovest Dishkov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Янтра Габрово's goal looked a bit too open when Encho Gyoshev came free, but Blagovest Dishkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, ФК Белая звезда's Tzeno Balinov got control of the ball when Vladko Predyov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Янтра Габрово were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
