Milyo Abadzhiev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Krasimir Nachov made a huge save. Yanislav Asov kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Krasimir Nachov made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Milyo Abadzhiev sent off a good shot on target. Filcho Ficherov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trayko Karapandzhiev's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Krasimir Nachov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milyo Abadzhiev in the 14th minute. Trayko Karapandzhiev scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filcho Ficherov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valkan Kuzmanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krasimir Nachov having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafail Poshtakov during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafail Poshtakov hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Milyo Abadzhiev might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Krasimir Nachov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milyo Abadzhiev ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, Povet's Encho Vúglarov seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Encho Vúglarov the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Povet protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Encho Vúglarov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 32nd minute, one of Povet:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Povet. In the 46th minute, Velin Viktorov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Svetlan Yanin was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Trayko Karapandzhiev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Starovo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trayko Karapandzhiev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yanislav Asov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Povet's goalkeeper Filcho Ficherov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trayko Karapandzhiev. Svetlan Yanin struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Filcho Ficherov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Starovo. Delcho Vitanski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Starovo's Krasimir Nachov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milyo Abadzhiev in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Svetlan Yanin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Starovo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svetlan Yanin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
