An unexpectedly hard shot by Temelko Gopov in the 6th minute of play forced Tottenham Hotspur F.C.'s goalkeeper Hristo Shushev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Tottenham Hotspur F.C.'s goalkeeper Hristo Shushev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vancho Sharankov. In the 9th minute, Nencho Stoimirov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hristo Shushev. The goal made the score 1-0. With his leg Hristo Shushev managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when FC BEROE StZ's Vladko Vakarelov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Tottenham Hotspur F.C.'s Hristo Shushev got control of the ball when Vladko Vakarelov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hristo Shushev was a little too slow when Temelko Gopov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. Leonel Cavaco struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Andoni Zubizarreta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tottenham Hotspur F.C.. After 21 minutes of play, FC BEROE StZ's Temelko Gopov made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hristo Shushev was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice moves Vladko Vakarelov could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Hristo Shushev however easily saved by the left post. Andoni Zubizarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zanko Randev in the 25th minute of the match. Vladko Vakarelov struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Hristo Shushev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC BEROE StZ. 34 minutes into the match, Tottenham Hotspur F.C.'s goalkeeper Hristo Shushev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladko Vakarelov. Zanko Randev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Radko Pozharliev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tottenham Hotspur F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC BEROE StZ the free kick. After 47 played minutes Tottenham Hotspur F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Radko Pozharliev. FC BEROE StZ's Nedyalko Kúsovski was substituted for Dragoş Burtea. After 48 played minutes Tottenham Hotspur F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Radko Pozharliev. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Temelko Gopov made the kick off in the second half. Trayko Margaritov kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Tottenham Hotspur F.C. were furious when Radko Pozharliev was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Tottenham Hotspur F.C.'s Radko Pozharliev got a free kick in the 57th minute. FC BEROE StZ's Manole Petrescu was substituted for Vladko Vakarelov. Vancho Sharankov kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Temelko Gopov in the 70th minute of play forced Tottenham Hotspur F.C.'s goalkeeper Hristo Shushev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes FC BEROE StZ got a freekick which was hit by Hugon Rozanski. Hristo Shushev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Temelko Gopov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 minutes of play, FC BEROE StZ's Vancho Sharankov made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 95 played minutes, FC BEROE StZ's Nencho Stoimirov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hristo Shushev came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC BEROE StZ reached it.
