Iveri Aragvsky might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sese Pozharskiy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iveri Aragvsky ran back to his position shaking his head. Djojiki Machaidze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gia Bitsadze in the 21st minute of the match. Sese Pozharskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iveri Aragvsky in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of FC Zestafoni booed when Carlisle City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marat Machaidze didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Zestafoni's Botchia Paghava couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carlisle City. Carlisle City's Sese Pozharskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Botchia Podolyakin in the 30th minute of play. Iveri Aragvsky fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sese Pozharskiy having to interfere. Sese Pozharskiy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iveri Aragvsky, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Botchia Podolyakin came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC Zestafoni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Botchia Podolyakin couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iveri Aragvsky made a kick off. Sergey Mamporia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sese Pozharskiy having to make a save. In the 57th minute, Iveri Aragvsky left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Zestafoni fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Sergey Mamporia spun around in front of the goal 62 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Carlisle City's goal. After 67 minutes, Egos Pachalia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carlisle City and the FC Zestafoni players grew even worse after the yellow card. Egos Pachalia hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Botchia Paghava came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the FC Zestafoni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Botchia Paghava couldn't finish the play. After 72 played minutes FC Zestafoni got a freekick which was hit by Botchia Podolyakin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergey Mamporia in the 79th minute of play forced Carlisle City's goalkeeper Sese Pozharskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iveri Aragvsky recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sese Pozharskiy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iveri Aragvsky, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
