Balakän's Xaläddin Häbibov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Usub Cavadov in the 7th minute of play. Davud Baxşaliyev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Xaläddin Häbibov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eldäniz Quliyev couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the game, Zaur Mähärrämov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abşeron's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balakän the free kick. In the 16th minute, Zaur Mähärrämov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Balakän booed when Abşeron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adışirin Ağacanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eldäniz Quliyev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davud Baxşaliyev to make the kick off. After 74 played minutes Balakän got a freekick which was hit by Dämir Soltanov. Qalib Eminov was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 75th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Usub Cavadov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Xaläddin Häbibov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davud Baxşaliyev received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Xaläddin Häbibov came out and tried to block the shot, but Davud Baxşaliyev slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 79th minute. Usub Cavadov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Xaläddin Häbibov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Davud Baxşaliyev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-6 became the score in the 96th minute when Usub Cavadov elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Abşeron's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
