If Qurban Bünyatov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qurban Bünyatov struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Usub Manafov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mingäçevir. In the 8th minute of the match Tehran Ağamurtuzov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sättar Hätämov skillfully saved the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Ähsän Ağakärimov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mingäçevir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sumqayıt şosesi the free kick. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mingäçevir! Manaf Äbdilov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Binyamin Ramazanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Qurban Bünyatov might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Usub Manafov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Qurban Bünyatov ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th match minute, Mingäçevir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mämmäd Ramazanov to maneuver through the defense. Fatih Mayilov kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to Mingäçevir getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Misir Äliyev hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manaf Äbdilov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Qurbanäli Ağäliyev fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mingäçevir's protests and gave Qurbanäli Ağäliyev a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mingäçevir's Qurbanäli Ağäliyev got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes Mingäçevir got a freekick which was hit by Rasim Balacayev. A collision led to Sumqayıt şosesi getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Näcäf Zabitov hit a great ball. Misir Äliyev's late challenge caught a Sumqayıt şosesi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Misir Äliyev helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sumqayıt şosesi booed when Mingäçevir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Misir Äliyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Sumqayıt şosesi's Yaqub Ähädli in action when he in the 65th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! With a little luck, Mingäçevir's Sättar Hätämov got control of the ball when Binyamin Ramazanov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Qurban Bünyatov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Usub Manafov having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rasim Balacayev during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sumqayıt şosesi booed when Mingäçevir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rasim Balacayev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Binyamin Ramazanov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sumqayıt şosesi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 80th minute, Binyamin Ramazanov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sättar Hätämov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Usub Manafov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qurban Bünyatov, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 92nd minute Qurban Bünyatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Usub Manafov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sumqayıt şosesi's Sättar Hätämov threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Näcäf Zabitov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Usub Manafov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manaf Äbdilov went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Mingäçevir supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sumqayıt şosesi's performance. The match ended with a win for Sumqayıt şosesi.
