With a left leg Elnur Äsädov saved Bärdä from getting behind. 5 minutes into the match, Bärdä's goal looked a bit too open when Färman Bädälov came free, but Elnur Äsädov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 7 minutes Bärdä's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Şämsäddin Aydinov who took care of the corner kick. Şämsäddin Aydinov made a great header on Sumqayıt şosesi's corner, it was just that Bärdä's Elnur Äsädov managed to reach the ball for a save. Färman Bädälov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elnur Äsädov having to interfere. Ähmädağa Färruxov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Mämmäd Alduxov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seyfäddin Sälimov struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Mämmäd Alduxov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bärdä. In the 30th minute, Nicat Tähmäzov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Färman Bädälov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elnur Äsädov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicat Tähmäzov, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Nicat Tähmäzov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicat Tähmäzov to make the kick off. Ähmädağa Färruxov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mämmäd Alduxov having to interfere. Mämmäd Alduxov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ähmädağa Färruxov went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.
