The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Toğrul Albändäyev charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toğrul Albändäyev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes Şirvan SFC got a freekick which was hit by Toğrul Albändäyev. Mehdixan Qämbärov might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cabbar Mayilov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehdixan Qämbärov ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Qazımämmädli's Niyaz Äläsgärov got control of the ball when Toğrul Albändäyev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niyaz Äläsgärov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Akif Älibalalı went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Cabbar Mayilov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehdixan Qämbärov in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Qazımämmädli's Saatxan Bäbirov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cabbar Mayilov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With his leg Niyaz Äläsgärov managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Şirvan SFC's Hacı Paşayev fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 19 minutes into the match, Qazımämmädli's goal looked a bit too open when Talib Camalov came free, but Niyaz Äläsgärov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niyaz Äläsgärov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Talib Camalov, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Mehdixan Qämbärov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Saatxan Bäbirov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hacı Paşayev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 minutes of play, Qazımämmädli's Miräzim Hacibäyov made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cabbar Mayilov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Möhübbät Qädirov kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Heydär Ağamoğlanov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Şirvan SFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Qazımämmädli the free kick. Heydär Ağamoğlanov hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Saatxan Bäbirov might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cabbar Mayilov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saatxan Bäbirov ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute, Talib Camalov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Qazımämmädli's Miräzim Hacibäyov got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute Saatxan Bäbirov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cabbar Mayilov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Qazımämmädli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ikram Soltanov to maneuver through the defense. If Miräzim Hacibäyov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akif Älibalalı hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Miräzim Hacibäyov didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-3 via right post in the game's 73rd minute. Qazımämmädli's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Niyaz Äläsgärov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Talib Camalov, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Hacı Paşayev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niyaz Äläsgärov having to interfere. Mehdixan Qämbärov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Qazımämmädli booed when Şirvan SFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akif Älibalalı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camal Babuşov scored 3-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niyaz Äläsgärov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Saatxan Bäbirov did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-4 to the left of a surprised Cabbar Mayilov 96 minutes into the match.
