No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Morjan Al Abdullah made the kick off in the second half. If Waheed Baroun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Mohammad Al Habshi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazen Ghadhanfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Plumstead AFC's Mansour Al Bana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waheed Baroun in the 61st minute of play. Morjan Al Abdullah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazen Ghadhanfer having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Margate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammad Al Habshi came free, but Mazen Ghadhanfer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Plumstead AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
