The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esam Shabakhoh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bader Bo Resley, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamdan Al Mothaf in the 6th minute of play forced Shaldon's goalkeeper Sadeq Hayat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shaldon's Sadeq Hayat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamdan Al Mothaf in the 7th minute of play. Bader Bo Resley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th match minute, Shaldon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fahad Al Matrok to maneuver through the defense. Shaldon's Sadeq Hayat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Shaldon from getting a goal against them. Shaldon's Sadeq Hayat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamdan Al Mothaf in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Shaldon's goalkeeper Sadeq Hayat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adem Al Asuosi. Adem Al Asuosi struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Sadeq Hayat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hove. Bader Bo Resley scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esam Shabakhoh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sari Mandane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Esam Shabakhoh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hove's Firas Al Ammar got a free kick in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nayef Dashti during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hove getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Nayef Dashti hit a great ball. Bader Bo Resley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esam Shabakhoh having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bader Bo Resley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Hamdan Al Mothaf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamdan Al Mothaf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Shaldon's goal looked a bit too open when Hamdan Al Mothaf came free, but Sadeq Hayat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Hove's goalkeeper Esam Shabakhoh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sari Mandane. 65 minutes into the match, Hamdan Al Mothaf notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Shaldon's Sadeq Hayat. Sadeq Hayat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hamdan Al Mothaf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sadeq Hayat having to interfere. In the 80th minute Bader Bo Resley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esam Shabakhoh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esam Shabakhoh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bader Bo Resley went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Sari Mandane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
