After having played for 3 minutes, Younis Al Naqi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harborne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Younis Al Naqi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Marzoq Al Sallal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Firas Al Attar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, Younis Al Naqi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Godmanchester AFC's Aadil Al Bana. Aadil Al Bana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Msaed Boften charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Msaed Boften the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Msaed Boften kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, Godmanchester AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hashem Shabakhoh to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Jassem Bo Hamad in the 16th minute really tested Aadil Al Bana's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Harborne's Firas Al Attar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marzoq Al Sallal in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yahya Al Shati in the 26th minute of play forced Harborne's goalkeeper Firas Al Attar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Younis Al Naqi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Aadil Al Bana made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marzoq Al Sallal in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Firas Al Attar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yahya Al Shati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firas Al Attar having to interfere. Firas Al Attar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marzoq Al Sallal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Firas Al Attar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yahya Al Shati in the 37th minute of the match. When Hashem Kamal fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harborne's protests and gave Hashem Kamal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Hashem Kamal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Khalaf Al Rodhan to make the kick off. Aadil Al Bana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Younis Al Naqi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Younis Al Naqi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harborne's supporters rose to their feet, but Younis Al Naqi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aadil Al Bana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marzoq Al Sallal in the 76th minute of play forced Harborne's goalkeeper Firas Al Attar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Yahya Al Shati managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godmanchester AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yahya Al Shati was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marzoq Al Sallal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aadil Al Bana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Younis Al Naqi's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Godmanchester AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
