An unexpectedly hard shot by Faisal Taqi in the 24th minute of play forced Hatta Club 1981's goalkeeper Salim Al Mehana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes Hatta Club 1981's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jalal Al Rodhan who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Alwahda FC's corner Jalal Al Rodhan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Salim Al Mehana quite easily take care of the ball. When Mohammad Taiban fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hatta Club 1981's protests and gave Mohammad Taiban a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, Hatta Club 1981 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammad Taiban to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Hatta Club 1981's goal looked a bit too open when Shehab Al Qattan came free, but Salim Al Mehana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Farooq Al Abdullah hit a great ball. Patryk Owsiak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammad Taiban in the 67th minute of the match. Hamzah Khorshed's late challenge caught a Hatta Club 1981's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
