After 22 minutes, Shjae Al Muwail mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Khor Fakkan Sport & C C and the Hatta Club 1981 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hatta Club 1981 booed when Khor Fakkan Sport & C C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 35th match minute, Khor Fakkan Sport & C C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tariq Al Shati to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Khor Fakkan Sport & C C's goalkeeper Domenico Lampa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Salim Al Mehana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Hatta Club 1981's Salim Al Mehana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shjae Al Muwail in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Khor Fakkan Sport & C C's goalkeeper Domenico Lampa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mohammad Taiban. Hatta Club 1981's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
