With an all-out effort, Mexborough's Boris Alekseenko threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pavel Ermolin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 19th minute, Mexborough's Pavel Ermolin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Pavel Ermolin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Boris Alekseenko, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikolay Balbashevskiy during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 30 minutes, Pavel Ermolin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Ermolin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vladimir Evdokimov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Alekseenko having to interfere. Vladimir Zaitsev hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Pavel Ermolin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Pavel Ermolin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boris Alekseenko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pavel Ermolin's shot from short distance in the 48th minute.

After 54 played minutes Emmanuil Konov rounded Mexborough's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Boris Alekseenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Evdokimov in the 57th minute of the match. Pavel Ermolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Vladimir Evdokimov came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Mexborough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimir Evdokimov couldn't finish the play. In the 85thth minute of the game Pavel Ermolin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Aktobe's Boris Alekseenko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artem Bugaev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexborough were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC Aktobe to leave the ground with a draw.
