Kazemir Abramov scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albert Danilov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Albert Danilov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Stogniev in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Kazemir Abramov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Withernsea FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kazemir Abramov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Colchester City's Ilya Chemborisov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arseniy Kayukov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albert Danilov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Stogniev, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 31st minute, Artur Stogniev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Danilov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 35 minutes into the match, Colchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Stogniev came free, but Albert Danilov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albert Danilov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kazemir Abramov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Stogniev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Danilov having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ilya Chemborisov to strike the kick off in the second half. Albert Danilov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazemir Abramov, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Withernsea FC's goalkeeper Arseniy Kayukov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 61 minutes, David Sinibatov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Withernsea FC and the Colchester City players grew even worse after the yellow card.
